Special Screening of the film Blitzed:The 80s Blitz Kids Story with its Director Michael Donald

In 1980 in a dingy corner of Covent Garden, a bunch of teenage misfits, art students and wannabe musicians gathered together every Tuesday night at the Blitz Club. The club only lasted for 18 months, but became the centre of 1980s style and creativity, shaping fashion, music, art and design for decades to come. The film is the perfect scene setter for Blitz, the Club that Shaped the 80s, this autumn's major exhibition at The Design Museum in London. The 2020 film, excerpts of which are included in the exhibition, contains rare footage and interviews with all the key players.

Originally from Belfast, director Michael Donald has had a long and successful career, initially as a photographer and now as a film maker and writer. He has exhibited all over the world and was the last person to shoot individual portraits of all of The Rolling Stones.
