Four women whose politics took them from Hampstead to war, espionage and jail.

Before and even after World War Two supporters of Fascism were active in Hampstead. Fighting back were four women living in Lawn Road, three of them refugees from the Nazis. One set up a recruiting base for the KGB in the Isokon Flats on Lawn Road, another ran the best Left-wing bookshops in London. Their individual stories are told by the creator of the Hampstead Spies guided walks, Stewart Purvis.
