Bringing Breuer back home. The Hungarian Museum of Architecture’s Marcel Breuer collection, featuring recent acquisitions from Cape Cod.

The talk presents a new book on the Hungarian Museum of Architecture’s collection of works by architect and designer Marcel Breuer. It highlights the museum’s recent acquisition of objects from Breuer’s cottage on Cape Cod, as well as the donation of additional items by Michael Szarvasy, a Hungarian-born collector based in New York.

Author, Ágnes Anna Sebestyén, is an art historian and curator at the Hungarian Museum of Architecture in Budapest. For nearly fifteen years, she has worked as a researcher and curator specializing in 20th-century modern architecture and has published articles in both Hungarian and English. The Marcel Breuer Collection of the Hungarian Museum of Architecture was successfully acquired in 2025 under her coordination.
